Separated Structural Subdivision "Applied College of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University"

In 2001, the Natural and Economic Department for training junior specialists was established at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. According to the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated July 18, 2002, No. 413, it was reorganized into the College of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University as a structural unit of the higher education institution without legal entity status.

The first director of the College was Maria Ivanivna Lychuk, PhD in Philology. Initially, the training of specialists was conducted in seven specialties: Finance, Accounting, Enterprise Economics, Production Organization, Applied Ecology, Applied Mathematics, and Maintenance of Computer and Intelligent Systems and Networks.

Since August 2004, the College has been headed by Oleksandr Vasylovych Sobchuk, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor.

According to the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated February 19, 2016, No. 137, Bukovinian State Financial and Economic University was reorganized by merging with Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. The Financial and Economic College of the Bukovinian State Financial and Economic University, which was its structural subdivision, was also reorganized by merging with the College of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University.

In accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Professional Pre-Higher Education," the College of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University was renamed the Separated Structural Subdivision "Applied College of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University."

As of September 1, 2024, more than 900 students are enrolled at the Applied College of Chernivtsi National University, and over one hundred lecturers are employed. The Separated Structural Subdivision "Applied College of Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University" is the largest professional college in the Chernivtsi region.

The College comprises three departments: Natural Sciences, Economics, and Law. Training of students in professional pre-higher education is carried out under educational and professional programs in six specialties:

Students of the Applied College, under the guidance of their instructors, are regular participants in various academic olympiads and competitions among institutions of professional pre-higher education that train junior bachelors.
